So what is Kinesiology?

“ A fundamental premise of Kinesiology is that the body has an innate healing energy and it is doing its best to care for itself, but sometimes needs assistance to achieve this state “

Kinesiology is the science of energy balancing and is a unique form of holistic therapy as it combines the knowledge of Chinese acupuncture,  chiropractic, osteopathy, nutrition, psychology and the subtle energy bodies (chakras).Muscle testing is used as a bio feedback system to detect & identify the underlying cause of imbalance from the clients subconscious via the nervous system.

The body can become imbalanced by a number of factors, including unresolved stress, emotional trauma, nutritional deficiencies, sabotages, heavy metals, dehydration & self-limiting beliefs held in the subconscious memory bank. These blockages can cause a number of symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, sensitivities, anxiety, depression, poor immunity and much more.

We are vibrational beings and we create our own experiences, which are stored in our subconscious mind and travel through our DNA as imprints of information. When this information comes up to the surface, we can then experience the change that we desire in our lives.

When a client comes in to see me they are usually out of balance, kinesiology helps to restore & realign you to your natural rhythm so that everything flows once again.

“The body is already aware of what it needs to heal. What Kinesiology is able to do in a therapeutic sense, is to facilitate that information in order to aid that potent, profound and natural healing process.”

Where does Kinesiology originate from?

Kinesiology was first born from chiropractic origins and founded by George Goodheart in the 1960’s.It was then that Goodheart discovered that each major muscle had a corresponding organ relationship, the theory soon expanded to include the Chinese meridian system & acupressure leading him to formulate Applied Kinesiology. Soon after another Chiropractor John Thie D.C, systemised Kinesiology and created Touch for Health. From here Professional  Kinesiology Practice (PKP) was created by Dr Bruce Dewe and Joan Dewe, the founders of the ICPKP, & have both been kinesiologists for over 20 years.

They describe kinesiology this way:

"Kinesiology is a communication tool that enables a person to assess and upgrade their performance in all areas of their life. Kinesiology is the science of energy balancing and is grounded in the study of anatomy and physiology. Kinesiology uses muscles as monitors of stress and imbalance within the body. Kinesiology enables people to detect and correct various imbalances that may relate to stress, nutrition, learning problems, minor injuries and other issues they meet in their daily life."
